ORCHID AND ONION AWARDS
Keep Peoria Beautiful has been bestowing these honors for more than 60 years to Peoria businesses for their outstanding effort in improving the appearance of their property.
The winners are announced each September at the Annual Awards Banquet. This event helps to elevate community awareness of the importance of beautification and environmental stewardship. Anyone can nominate properties for these awards.

Orchid awards
Orchid Awards are given to businesses that have done an excellent job in site beautification and/or landscaping of their property.

Beautification Awards are given to businesses that have done an outstanding job of landscaping and maintaining their property; a runner up to the Orchid Award.
orchid maintenance awards
Orchid Maintenance Awards are presented to businesses that have previously won an Orchid Award and they continue to maintain their property in excellent condition.
building beautification awards
Building Beautification Awards are presented to businesses that have done an outstanding job in renovation and restoration of older buildings.
property maintenance awards
Property Maintenance Awards are given to a business that has done an outstanding job in keeping their property and landscaping very neat, clean, and well maintained.
sustainability awards
Sustainability Awards are given to businesses that are taking steps to protect the environment by using environmentally friendly landscaping and hardscape material.
onion awards
Onion Awards are given to business properties that are a visual blight in the community. The goal of this award is to encourage businesses to improve the appearance of their property thereby ensuring a cleaner and more beautiful city.
